What’s the Point?

Why This Fight Still Matters!

By Christopher Penrod

Before Covid, America had a backbone. That backbone was comprised of small businesses and their owners. Men and women just like you, working hard for what they have in life. People who put in the time, blood, sweat and tears to build something that would provide a foundation for their pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.

Small businesses not only provide goods and services for their communities, but they bring local jobs as well. Those same small businesses create competition, allowing for alternatives and variety when it comes to employment, shopping and service locations. Competition creates failure, which means that only the strongest businesses survive, leading to a more robust economy. Those small businesses that prove themselves strong enough to survive often rely on other small businesses in their community, forming a support network. When even one of those small businesses is shuttered, it can create a ripple effect that can devastate entire communities.

When Covid hit? Our government took upon themselves, the unconstitutional power to dictate which businesses in America were allowed to stay open. They arbitrarily labeled businesses both small and large as either essential or non-essential and demanded that any business, small or large, was shuttered if deemed non-essential.

Corrupt, greedy, wealthy politicians both local and federal, capitalized off of fear and disinformation to seize and hoard emergency powers like the very tyrants America’s founding fathers defeated in order to create this amazing country. Those corrupt, greedy, wealthy politicians’ decisions were staggeringly slanted in favor of big business and corporations, allowing them to remain open and essential while small businesses across America were forced to close.

Why were those corrupt, greedy, wealthy politicians so in favor of big business and corporations remaining open and essential while they shuttered and restricted small businesses?

Follow the money!!

Big businesses and corporations can afford to buy the politicians votes where small businesses cannot. And so, small businesses were unconstitutionally shut down, creating a situation where the consumer was forced to spend their money only in places approved by the bought-and-paid for politicians. The transfer of wealth from small businesses to corporations was a complete and utter success.

Realizing how wrong and one-sided the lockdowns and shutdowns were, small business owners all over the country resisted. Those small business owners knew how unconstitutional it was for the corrupt, greedy, wealthy politicians to shut them down. They knew how wrong it was for them to be robbed of their ability to pursue life, liberty, and happiness in their own communities.

Some of those small business owners knew that staying shut down meant the end of their businesses and livelihoods. So, they were left with no other choice but to defy the lockdown orders. They opened their businesses in accordance with their rights as citizens. They knew that the Constitution exists to protect the American Citizenry from our government. They told those corrupt, greedy, wealthy politicians, “You aren’t my king. You don’t have the authority to destroy my livelihood.”

In response? The corrupt, greedy, wealthy politicians sicked the corrupt courts on those business owners. In turn, the corrupt courts brought CRIMINAL charges against these small business owners. For refusing to obey unconstitutional lockdown orders issued arbitrarily by tyrants, small business owners are facing even more destruction of their lives.

Small business owners find themselves coerced into corrupt courts by jack-booted law enforcement who serve as nothing more than glorified revenue generators for the same corrupt, greedy, wealthy politicians that are hell-bent on destroying America’s backbone. Police serving the very same politicians caving to the woke-mob and demanding that the police be defunded. Can someone please explain that?

Are you truly in agreement with the corrupt, greedy, wealthy politicians and the corrupt courts and jack-booted revenue generators when they say that a small business owner is literally the most dangerous criminal in the community? That they should be pursued no matter the time involved or expense to the taxpayer?

Do you like the idea of a corrupt, greedy, wealthy politician, whether they are democrat or republican, dictating how and when and where you can make a living? Dictating how and when and where you can shop? Dictating how and when and where you can get healthcare?

Do you like that a corrupt court can determine that a small business owner just trying to run her coffee shop is a dangerous criminal threat because she refused to obey their unconstitutional orders?

There is a message out there that we need to move on. The lockdowns have ended and most of the restrictions have been removed. Forgive and forget. Accept what has happened and move forward as if it never happened.

But We the People? We do not forgive and we do not forget. Our rights have been ignored, trampled upon, and stolen from us. Stolen by corrupt, greedy, wealthy politicians who presume to lord over us. Stolen by corrupt courts, who use jack-booted revenue generators masquerading as police to enforce their tyranny.

This fight is not over. It has happened before, and it is happening again. Businesses have been shut forever, livelihoods have been decimated, families and communities have been irreparably damaged. If America is to survive, our way of life, our culture, and our ability to pursue life, liberty and happiness must be preserved.

“And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure.” – Thomas Jefferson
